The Lagos State Government has said the construction work on the Lekki-Epe Expressway is almost 90 per cent complete and promised to start full work on the second phase of the project soon.
According to a statement on Thursday, the Special Adviser to the State Governor on Works and Infrastructure, Mrs Aramide Adeyoye, gave the assurance during the inspection of the Awoyaya Axis of the Epe Expressway together with Craneburg Construction, the Lekki Estate Resident Association and others.
“Phase I of the Lekki-Epe Expressway, which is from Eleko Junction to Epe, is almost 95 per cent completed. We will soon start full work on Phase II of the project, which is from Eleko Junction to Abraham Adesanya,” Adeyoye said.
The Chairman of the Infrastructure Committee of LERSA, Suleiman Bello, urged residents and stakeholders to calm down when they are on the construction stretch to ensure that the project goes on seamlessly.
