A music and movie executive, AbdulRasheed Bello, aka JJC Skillz, has urged up-and-coming artistes and actors not to become victims of sexual harassment.

JJC spoke at the launch of Afristar— a creative hub he created for young talents. He said, “I will advise actors not to fall prey and become victims of sex-for-roles. Do not give in or compromise. There are people like us out there who do not need anything from you before supporting your careers. lf anything at all, create your own content. Pick up your mobile phone, make a video and send to me; I will put you on a TV show. You don’t have to sell yourself short for that.”

On why he created the platform, he said, “It is a platform that is created to showcase talents, products and services. Aside from the obvious reason of creating contents, we also carry out corporate social responsibility campaigns. We are going from one neighbourhood to the other, till we are able to touch people in different parts of the country. The goal is to create a platform of talented individuals to showcase themselves.”
