Ex-Delta lawmaker buries mum

A former member of the House of Representatives for the Okpe Sapele Uvwie Federal Constituency, and a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party; Napoleon Gbinije, has laid his mother, Agatha, to rest in Warri, Delta State.

Agatha passed away at the age of 94 on Sunday, March 6, 2022.

The ceremonies started with a wake on Thursday, September 22, 2022, and it was attended by friends, family members and well-wishers, as they gathered to pay their last respects to the deceased. It held at the Mother of Redeemer Catholic Church in the Effurun area of the state.

Most of the guests in attendance were clad in matching green attire, while Gbinije and his wife were dressed in a yellow outfit, which matched the yellow and white decoration of the venue.

This was followed by the funeral on Friday, September 24, 2022, which was attended by even more guests. This leg of the ceremonies held at Ovwiyen town in Okpe Local Government Area.

Guests in attendance at the ceremonies included the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, and PDP governorship candidate in the state, Sheriff Oborevwori and his wife; actress and filmmaker, Lisa Omorodion; and a media personality, Layole Oyatogun.
